Door to door or ex works: who pays what?
With door to door delivery, the workshop sends your order by parcel to your address and you pay the postage on your quotation. With ex works Lima, your own forwarder collects it and you arrange the rest. In both cases the buyer normally pays import VAT and any duty.

Who pays VAT on a delivery to the door?
Door to door delivery works like the trade term DAP: the seller delivers to your address, and the buyer normally handles the import and pays duty and import VAT. A VAT registered business can normally deduct import VAT in its own VAT return. The rules differ per country, so the collective goes through them with you at the quotation.
