How do you check an alpaca supplier in Peru?
To check an alpaca supplier in Peru, ask for its RUC tax number, its test reports, its documents and its terms in writing, and check the RUC with the Peruvian tax office. A supplier who answers these eight questions before your deposit is one you can test with a first order.

Why the RUC comes first
The RUC is the tax number of a business in Peru. SUNAT, the Peruvian tax office, has a public search where anyone can look it up by number or by company name. It shows whether the taxpayer is active and whether its address is confirmed, which SUNAT calls habido.
